“I was glad when they said to me, ‘Let us go to the house of the LORD!”” (Psalm 122:1). May we, too, find joy in worshiping God.
Epiphany is the season of the church year extending from January 6 until Ash Wednesday. The word “epiphany” means an appearance or a manifestation, especially of a Deity. The Christian Church uses the word Epiphany to celebrate the appearance of Christ to the Gentiles. When the Christ Child was presented in the temple, the aged Simeon predicted that Jesus would be “a light to lighten the Gentiles.” This prophecy received its first fulfillment in the coming of the magi.
